Although I am loath to admit it, sometimes you need a bag that is actually functional for your activities of daily living (and something that you won't go into mourning over if it get a little damaged - Yes, I am still pissed off about a Louis Vuitton that some klutz in a Starbucks poured half a peppermint mocha into)
We came across LaNeige Purse, designed by Kristy Sobel (that is her in the pic) after she could no longer wear a traditional over the shoulder purse due to chronic shoulder injuries. Her purses can be worn around the waist and over the shoulder. Prices seem to be under $200 for her larger bags, so the are reasonably priced as well. No, you are probably not wearing these things with your Prada power suit, but seriously, how often do you actually wear it..........

What do you do
if you just can't afford a designer handbag or purse?
Well, normally I would say that the best option is to talk someone into buying it for you, but if that ain't your style, you may want to check out Clickhandbags, a site that specializes in helping bag buffs sell their used handbags and purses
Now I haven't used the site so I can't attest to the authenticity of the bags or the truthfulness of the sellers, but thought it was something worth knowing about.

Who needs a design degree - or even any training - to start an accessory line? Not Gwen Stefani......or Nicky Hilton, each of whom recently added purveyor of purses to her resume. Monica Lewinsky has more to answer for than just forgetting to dry-clean that little blue dress. Thanks to those saggy satchels that she stitched up in her apartment and started selling at Henri Bendel a few years ago, Monica single-handedly kick-started the latest unwelcome B-list celebrity craze: handbag design.
